From plan to vehicle: Frankfurt Airport extends its use of Yeti Move
Published: 27.10.2026

After a year of building and refining its winter operation in Yeti Hub, Fraport will test Yeti Driver Assist at Frankfurt Airport through the coming season.
Frankfurt Airport has worked with Yeti Move’s Planning & Simulation platform, replacing document-based winter plans with a digital model of the operation. In that model, the team has been able to analyse existing clearing concepts, test realistic scenarios, and validate decisions before putting them into practice.
What Driver Assist adds
Yeti Driver Assist puts the agreed plan in front of the driver while the operation is running. Each vehicle shows its own position and the position of the rest of the fleet, together with clear guidance on the next task. When the plan changes, the change reaches every vehicle digitally at the same time.
The result is that the operation runs the way it was planned, rather than the way it is remembered. The people executing it have the same picture as the people who designed it.
Testing it through a season
Frankfurt will run Driver Assist as a test through the coming winter.
“With Planning & Simulation we have built a digital view of our winter operations and used it to analyse and validate our concepts. The natural next step is to see how that plan reaches the drivers during an actual operation. This winter we want to test how real-time guidance in the vehicle helps our teams execute more consistently, especially when conditions can change quickly.” Simon Pfeifer, Team Lead Winter Operations, Frankfurt Airport
One step at a time
Yeti Hub with Planning & Simulation and Yeti Driver Assist are two steps on the same platform, running on the same model of the airport. In our experience, that is how technology of this kind actually gets adopted, one step at a time.
