Vienna Airport launches pilot project with Yeti Hub and Yeti Driver Assist

Vienna Airport has launched a pilot project with Yeti Move featuring Yeti Hub and Yeti Driver Assist. The project includes full implementation, digitization of winter operations, simulated training, and validation for real operational evaluation

We are proud to welcome Vienna Airport as our newest customer and to officially launch a pilot project with Yeti Hub and Yeti Driver Assist.

During the pilot setup phase, the Yeti Move team successfully completed the implementation of the solution at Vienna Airport, including digitization of snow removal concepts and the winter operations fleet in the Yeti Hub platform. The project has also strengthened winter operations training by enabling precise visual communication through simulated missions.

As part of the setup and verification process, the team completed both functional and performance testing and confirmed that the solution is ready to be evaluated in real operational conditions.

We would like to thank the Vienna Airport team for their smooth collaboration, clear communication, and strong engagement throughout the implementation and testing phase.

In Vienna Airport’s own words:

“With YETIMOVE, we have a competent partner at our side to install a driver assistance system during ongoing operations. This system not only ensures optimal and efficient snow cleaning on the runways, but also serves as a valuable tool for training drivers and reviewing planned routes in advance. In poor visibility conditions, the display in the driver’s cabin provides essential support for the operator. The installation and the initial, well-supported tests went smoothly. Now we’re hoping for plenty of snowy days so we can test and use the system under real-working conditions.”
